Visit of China Agricultural University Party Secretary On 14 Jan, a delegation led by Prof. Zhenyuan Qu, Party Secretary of the China Agricultural University (CAU) visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Provost Prof. Benjamin Wah, PVC Prof. Jack Cheng and the CUHK Partner State Key Laboratory (SKL) Director Prof. Samuel Sun and Deputy SKL Director, Prof. HM Lam, warmly welcomed the delegation. To further strengthen the partnership and cooperation between the universities, the participants had an amiable discussion and reached the mutual understanding to establish cooperation in different areas including student exchange, staff interflow and university publications exchange. After the central administration meeting, the delegation visited the Partner SKL of Agrobiotechnology (CUHK) to meet Prof. Samuel Sun, SKL Director, and Prof. Lam Hon Ming, Deputy SKL Director, as well as other SKL research team members including Prof. JH Zhang, Prof. SM Ngai, Prof. BC Tan, Prof. KM Kwan, Prof. JX He, Prof. WC Yu, and Dr. LPS Liu. In the meeting, Prof. Sun gave an overview on the recent developments of the SKL as well as an update on its latest research progress and achievements. Participants shared their views on how to strengthen the scientific cooperation and academic links between the two SKLs to facilitate the production of collaborative deliverables. After the meeting, the delegation visited the S.H. Ho College where Prof. SSM Sun introduced to the guests the unique culture of our college system. Building upon the existing synergistic partnership of the two SKLs established in 2008, Prof. Qu’s visit further forged the cooperation between CAU and CUHK in developing close efforts in academic exchange. |
中國農業大學黨委書記瞿振元教授到訪 1月14日下午，中國農業大學黨委書記兼教育基金會理事長瞿振元書記、中國農業大學教育基金會秘書長李全宏教授一行來訪我校，我校常務副校長華雲生教授、副校長鄭振耀教授及農業生物技術國家重點實驗室(香港中文大學)主任辛世文院士、副主任林漢明教授代表學校對中國農業大學一行表示熱烈歡迎。雙方就深化兩校合作展開了友好會談，並初步達成了學生交流、行政人員交流及大學出版刊物互贈的合作意向。 訪問團與中大領導會晤後，便到訪中大農業生物技術國家重點實驗室夥伴實驗室，與主任辛世文教授、副主任林漢明教授及其他國家重點實驗室成員包括張建華教授 、倪世明教授、譚保才教授、關健明教授、何軍賢教授、于為常教授及廖佩珊博士等會面。會上，辛教授向代表團介紹實驗室的最新發展，以及報告實驗室的近期成就與科研進展，並就有關加強雙互合作、建立更緊密的學術聯繫、推動指標性產出等目標展開了實質討論。會後，辛世文教授更帶領訪問團參觀善衡書院，並向到訪嘉賓介紹中文大學獨特的書院文化。 自夥伴實驗室於2008年成立後，兩校已建立了緊密的學術聯繫，此次瞿振元書記再訪中大，將進一步加強雙互的聯繫，在原有的科研合作基礎上推動擴展兩校於大學層面的合作和交流。 |
