Delegation from Yangzhou University

A delegation led by Prof. Guo Wenshan, Dean of Agricultural College of Yangzhou University visited CUHK on 28 Dec 2012. They met with Prof. Lam Hon Ming, Associate Director of the State Key Laboratory (SKL) of Agrobiotechnology (CUHK), Prof. Zhang Jianhua, Prof. Yu Weichang, Prof. Jerome Hui and other members of SKL.
In the meeting, the delegation was first presented with an overview video about CUHK on its excellent scientific research. Prof. Lam then briefed the delegation on the latest development of SKL, School of Life Sciences, and the students and teaching affairs. After the meeting, Dr. Li Qianfeng led the delegation to visit the Lake Ad Excellentiam in Chung Chi College and the Pavilion of Harmony in New Asia College. At last, the delegation was entertained by Prof. Lam at Benjamin Franklin Centre Staff Canteen.
This visit further strengthened the collaboration of both parties and enabled thorough discussion to formulate directions to further enhance academic exchange and research collaborations.

揚州大學農學院到訪
農業生物技術國家重點實驗室（中大）

2012年12月28日上午，揚州大學農學院訪問團一行12人包括農學院院長郭文善教授、校港澳臺辦公室主任湯永明博士、農學院副院長劉巧泉教授、作物栽培耕作學科負責人張洪程教授、編審陳曦老師、作物學科負責人王余龍教授、作物遺傳育種學科負責人梁國華教授、農學系主任戴其根教授、作物遺傳育種系主任徐辰武教授、農村發展系主任沈新平副教授、農學院副書記生永明副研究員及農學院辦公室主任陳源副教授來訪我校，與中大農業生物技術國家重點實驗室夥伴實驗室副主任林漢明教授及其他國家重點實驗室成員包括張建華教授、于為常教授、廖佩珊博士、李錢峰博士及生命科學院許浩霖教授會面。

會上，代表團首先觀看中文大學介紹短片，瞭解中大概況，和中大卓越科學領域的成果。並由林教授向代表團介紹農業生物技術國家重點實驗室的最新發展，生命科學院及學生管理與教學事務。會後，李錢峰博士帶領訪問團參觀崇基未圓湖及新亞合一亭。隨後由林教授宴請代表團於鹿鳴廳午膳。是次訪問更深入討論如何促進相互間更緊密的合作關係，以加強及擴大交流合作。
