The Field Workshop on Methadone Treatment in Hong Kong 2 - 4 July 2008

The Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT) programme for injecting drug users (IDUs) is going to be piloted in two cities Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam in May 2008. Dr. Krystal Lee was invited by the World Health Organization (WHO) to organize a Field Workshop on Methadone Treatment in Hong Kong to provide training for the officials and implementers of MMT programme from the various government departments of Ho Chi Minh City. There are all together thirteen participants in the workshop, training included presentation by local experts and frontline workers relating to methadone treatment, visits to methadone clinics, Drug Info Centre and Red Ribbon Centre, and discussion on practical issues.
