Tips 1 : Search Your Job Requests Electronically
Looking for a job can be made easier by using an efficient database which contains up-dated and detailed information on job vacancy and employer information. You can obtain such information at your fingertips in two databases maintained by the Career Planning and Development Centre. The two databases are the Joint Institution Job Information System (JIJIS) and CU-Recruit.
Tips 2 : Know the Difference between JIJIS & CU-Recruit
JIJIS and CU-Recruit contain different types of job vacancy information. JIJIS contains full time job vacancy and employer information while CU-Recruit contains part-time & summer job vacancy information.
Tips 3 : Locate PCs/Workstations accessible to JIJIS
Students may access JIJIS through any PC/workstation linked to the University Campus Wide Network System via Telnet. JIJIS may also be accessed from PCs in the Careers Library of the Career Planning and Development Centre. The opening hours of the Library is 8:50 am to 6:30 pm from Mondays to Fridays and 8:50 am to 12:40 pm on Saturdays.
Tips 4 : Access to CU-Recruit
The new web based system " CU-Recruit " is now ready for all the students to search for Part-time / Summer jobs. Simply go to the homepage of the Career Planning & Development Centre (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/osa), click "Job Search" and then click "Access to Part-time / Summer job vacancies via CU-Recruit" then you will access to a new user-friendly job searching website.
