back unique and inspiring
exper i ences wi th them!
Last year, about
90
Sunnies
participated in various non-
local programmes under
College support. They have been to exotic places like Tibet
and North Korea, conducted service work in Myanmar,
Sichuan, Uganda and Taiwan, and experienced different
cultures all around the world.
The Sunnies even showcased
their stories after returning
from the trips! The team from
the Tainan Service-learning
Trip being granted Creative
Exchange Presentation Award,
shared their unforgettable
memories during the trip -
teaching English through games, singing Taiwanese songs with
the elderly, and shopping with the mentally handicapped in
the supermarket. Their experiences would definitely bring new
insights in future projects and exploration, and inspire others to
bring warmth to society.
adiating
exotic experiences!
During the service, in addition to strengthening skills
on organising activities, the more important thing
was that I have learnt relevant skills to get along with
different service targets. It was also memorable and
challenging to visit the elderly who could not even
speak Putonghua. Our service was quite successful
and I realized the importance of patience in serving
the elderly.

Making new friends, serving lovely kids and elderly
made last Christmas a warm one - passion bridged

backgrounds; love melt the cold and tired hearts. I
"sacrificed" my holidays, but was rewarded the most
precious Christmas presents - friendship, smiles and
memories which you could never find from books.
