Yuan G. K.

Yuan currently residing in Beijing, was born and raised in China and educated in the United States. She laboured in the Chinese countryside in her youth for a few years while the universities were closed during the Cultural Revolution, finally attending Beijing Teachersˇ College in 1977. She earned her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Mills College and her M.A. in Psychology from Columbia University.
