Xiang Zhuang [real name Dong Yan 董炎?] 1923-2006

Born in Zhejiang and came to Hong Kong in 1950. A well-known writer of historical fiction (under the pen name Dong Qianli 董千里), he also penned many editorials for Ming Pao 明報, Sing Pao 成報, Express News 快報 and Chung Pao中報. He adopted the pen name Xiang Zhuang in the 1970s for his column in Ming Pao. His publications include the novel Chengjisihan 成吉思汗 [Genghis Khan] (1960) and the essay collection Wujian tan 舞劍談 [Swordplay] (1972).
