Project Site #13 : Badi Village, Jinjiang Town, Shangri-La City, Yunnan Badi Village, Jinjiang Town, Shangri-La is located in the mountainous land beside the Jinsha River. It is about 180 kilometers away from Shangri-La City and 120 kilometers away from Lijiang City. Transportation is convenient. Most of the villagers are Lisu people. Fews are Tibetan and Han. The houses in Badi Village are scattered in the mountain valley. Grazing is the main source of income for the villagers. There are traditional buildings built in earth, wood, and stones which are locallly available. After the introduction of the new seismic rammed-earth construction technology given by the team, over 10 households expressed their interest to participate in the reconstruction plan.
