Project Site: Malong Township and Panlian Town, Miyi County, Panzhihua City, Sichuan

       The Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Miyi County invited the team to inspect three project sites in the county. The team conducted household surveys and introduced briefly the anti-seismic rammed earth construction technology and general cooperation models. The villagers' housing plans and their willingness were also exchanged. Finally, the team tried to demonstrate the construction of such anti-seiemic rammed-earth houses to the local villagers in Malong Township and Panlian Town.

Mar - Jun 2022

Due to the smooth project progress in Panlian Town, four more households decided to build their houses by using new anti-seismic rammed-earth construction method.

Nov 2021 - 2nd Investigation Trip

In mid-Nov, the team organized the villagers of Panlian Town to visit Hetaoping Village and conducted technology introduction and household surveys afterward. Finally, the team initially selected seven households (three in Malong Township and four in Panlian Town) for reconstruction.

Oct 2021 - 1st Investigation Trip

In late Oct, the team conducted site visits in Malong Township and Panlian Town.

May 2024

The final house was completed and passed the inspection and acceptance.

 

 

 

Jun 2023 - Dec 2023

Additional two households joined the building programme. By Dec, the team had completed the inspection and acceptance of five households, with one household currently undergoing renovation. It is expected to be completed by Mar next year.

Oct 2022

Artisan training was conducted in Jun and Aug for additional four households. Relevant foundation work started in Oct.

Aug 2022

The project (1 house in Malong Township and 6 houses in Panlian Town) was successfully completed with acceptance.

Jun 2022

3 houses were built; 4 houses were under rammed earth construction.

Dec 2021 - Feb 2022

The team started the foundation work in early Dec. Duiring the construction, on-site artisan training was conducted for the villagers. Until Feb, the main structural work of 3 houses were almost finished and the wall ramming work for another two houses was carried on.
