Conference Program

The conference is organized by Li Dak Sum Yip Yio Chin R & D Centre for Chinese Medicine (RDCCM) and School of Chinese Medicine (SCM), together with Institute of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Institute of Integrative Medicine, and School of Life Sciences of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Main themes of the conference are:
1. Chemical and DNA analyses for quality control and authentication of TCMs
2. Development of new quality control techniques / methods
3. Discovery of bioactive markers for quality control
4. Other cutting-edge research and development in quality assurance / quality control

Welcome Message from the Conference Chairperson

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are most delighted to welcome you to the "International Conference on Quality Control and Authentication of Herbal Material and Products" (中藥材和產品的鑒定和質控國際會議) to be held on 26 & 27 November in Hong Kong.

This conference is co-organized by Li Dak Sum Yip Yio Chin R & D Centre for Chinese Medicine and School of Chinese Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, together with Institute of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Institute of Integrative Medicine, and School of Life Sciences of the University. The Centre endeavours to enhance the standard of quality control and assurance of Chinese medicinal materials and products in Hong Kong.

The main theme of the Conference is about quality control and authentication of herbal material and products in molecular and chemical aspects, including the discussion on (1) Chemical and DNA analyses for quality control and authentication of TCMs; (2) Development of new quality control techniques / methods; (3) Discovery of bioactive markers for quality control; (4) Other cutting-edge research and development in quality assurance / quality control.

The Conference will be held virtually through live-streaming and the speakers will be presenting the latest development of research in quality control of herbal material. We are expecting international and local scientists to join this international conference. We anticipate that this conference will further stimulate research and development in this field and more collaboration will be fostered.

*Participant must attend a complete session to earn the CME points. All CME certificates will be available to download after the end of the session. Once the registration is admitted, participant cannot transfer the registration to others (If found, we have the right to cancel the concerned CME certificate). Late for 30 minutes or more will be considered as absent, the CME certificate for the session will not be issued for the participant. A non-refundable administration fee of HK$50 will be charged for each session.

Note:

1. Registered Chinese medicine practitioners must fully attend the seminar for CME credits.
2. All CME certificates will be dispatched after the end of the Conference by email with valid address provided during the registration.
3. No CME credits will be granted to those who are absent, early leave or offline during the Conference for more than 30 minutes. In case of any discrepancies, the organiser’s record shall prevail and the organiser reserves the right for final decision.
4. Please ensure the registration info including the name, registered license number and contact method (i.e. email, tel. no & address) are valid. The info will be used for identity verification for the CME credits application.
