College Head¡¦s Welcome Dinner for Non-local
and Exchange Students
Shaw College received a full house of non-local
students and new and returned exchange students at the College
Head¡¦s Welcome Dinner on September 21, 2005 at
the Staff Dining Room. College Head Professor P.C. Ching
extended a warm welcome to all 150 participants including student
representatives and staff members from various units of the University.
All participants enjoyed an evening of games, lucky draws and friendly
chit-chat over a sumptuous Chinese dinner.

Inter-collegiate
Drama Competition ¡V Shaw College Drama Society Invites You to Explore
the World of Drama
The annual Inter-collegiate Drama Competition
will be held on November 16 and 17 this year at
the Sir Run Run Shaw Hall. The Shaw College Drama Society is now
recruiting cast and crew for this important production. All interested
parties please show up any time between October 3-6 from
6-11pm at the Student Hostel II High Block Common Room.

Annual Performance (September 7-8, 2005)
The Shaw College Drama Society Annual
Performance ran successfully for 3 sessions at the Sir
Run Run Shaw Hall on September 7 and 8. This
original performance is titled ¡§Birthday¡¨,
depicting the dilemma and dynamics of a group of patients trapped
in a hospital and could only be released from continuous physiotherapy
upon their birthday.
The Drama Society would like to thank all members
of the audience and cast and crew for their generous support!

Shaw Lane
Hurray! Shaw Lane is coming!
This year's Shaw Lane is named ¡§Shawadise¡¨, meaning
Shaw is always paradise to the Shaw community, will be held on
October 20. Starting from 6pm, there will be
the famous ¡§Shaw market¡¨, game stalls and street shows
at the roundabout area and the podium of Wen Lang Tang. You will
also enjoy performances from singers and other artists at the
Shaw Lane variety show.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the College, two new games
will join the festivities, namely, ¡§Speedy 20¡¨ and
¡§The Lost Forest¡¨. Details of the games are confidential!
But if you really want to know, just come and join our festivities
on October 20!

Shaw College Student Computer Consultation
Team
The student computer consultation team was established
in August 2004 to raise students' awareness in internet security
and to provide technical support for students who have computer
problems, especially for virus attack and security settings. The
