Introduction
The international conference “China Studies as a Vocation: Celebrating Deborah Davis’ 50-year contributions to scholarship and to CUHK” is jointly organised by the Department of Sociology and the Universities Service Centre for China Studies (USC) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and sponsored by Faculty of Social Science, CUHK.
The conference will provide an opportunity both to discuss the state-of-the-art of China studies by debating the issues and theoretical frameworks to which Professor Deborah Davis has contributed: inequality, family, urbanization and migration, and consumption and civic culture, and celebrate her contributions to these research areas and to CUHK.

The conference will be held at Cho Yiu Conference Hall, University Administration Building, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Conference shuttle bus service for public audience
Conference shuttle bus will be arranged for public audience between MTR University Station and the conference venue. The shuttle bus schedule is listed below:

The pick-up / drop-off point will be Statue of Liberty (民主女神像) at the Exit A of MTR University Station. Our staff / student helper will escort the participants to take the shuttle bus. The bus service is on a first-come-first-served basis.
Taking CUHK Shuttle Bus to Cho Yiu Conference Hall
Please get on a campus shuttle bus (Route H) outside Exit A of University MTR Station, get off at the bus stop outside Sir Run Run Shaw Hall and walk towards the University Library as marked on the map below. The Cho Yiu Conference Hall is on G/F of University Administration Building beside the University Library.
On Sundays and public holidays, Route H will depart at 00, 20 and 40 in every hour from 8:20 a.m.
