Introduction

The aim of this project is to develop and convert our most up‐to‐date research data on Cell & Developmental Biology into self‐learning teaching materials so as to provide undergraduate students and secondary school teachers with the most advanced concepts in Cell & Developmental Biology.

High‐quality movies have generated to show various biological processes such as cell division, cell plate formation, formation of cytoskeleton, dynamics of transport vesicles, endocytosis and exocytosis in model organisms including Arabidopsis, mice, fruit fly and plant culture cells. Many of these movies reflect the current development and understanding in Cell & Developmental Biology, thus representing the most up‐to‐date concepts for teaching and learning. Further development will be made to apply research results into teaching tools for University students and high school teachers to learn current concepts of Cell & Developmental Biology via watching these self‐explanatory movies.
