Health Ambassadors Programme |
In order to
impact the proper and erect health education within the campus, a
Campus Health Ambassadors Programme was jointly organized by the
Advisory Committee on Health Promotion and Protection and University
Health Service since 2003. The aim of the
programme is to promote health-related issues among the university.
A group of
about 40 students are trained in the programme for promoting and
assist in organizing continuous health activities on the campus.
They develop a positive attitude on health among participants and to
influence their peer groups and parents, and establish a leadership
role in the campus and later to the community.
The 2007-08 Campus Health Ambassador
will be started on 1st Novemer 2007 this year. Applied students will be
selected and trained in the university guest house afterwards. The
Health Ambassadors will receive subsidy for
organizing health promotion activities within the campus as well as

28 selected health ambassadors joined an exchange visit to Shantou University Medical College on 19 to 21 January 2007. They organised a booth in a health carnival with health ambassadors from Shantou University Medical College. They also shared their experience in health promotion during meeting of the ambassadors of two universities. Tours were arranged to the main campus and the modern teaching laboratory of medical college. For more details, please click HERE.
