Basic Web Site Construction

This web site was made using Microsoft FrontPage Express, which is essentially the old FrontPage 2.0. The latest commerical release is FrontPage 98 (version 4.0). Amidst competition from Netscape Composer, FrontPage 2.0 was released with many features from 4.0, and re-packaged into "FrontPage Express" along with Internet Explorer. It is licensed as freeware.

Using tables and various colored fonts, a professional web site can be created with this program. Basic HTML knowledge is recommended in order to smooth some edges that the program may neglect. Otherwise, in my opinion, the end result is satisfying to the eye. Since this is a medical web site, a plethora of graphics is unnecessary for they are more likely to tarnish the simplicity of the site.

Other tools helpful in the process include: ACDSee (image viewer), HTML Reference Library, WS_FTP (FTP client), and patience.
