Call for panels
 

The second international conference on Chinese Translation History, “Patronage as a Shaping Force in Chinese Translation History,” now invites submission of abstracts for panels on topics relating to patronage and related themes.

Number of panel members:
 
3 scholars for each panel, including one chairperson to host the panel session.
   
Length of Paper:
 
30 minutes for one paper, inclusive of a 20-minute presentation and a 10-minute discussion. Scholars are also welcome to form panels and present their papers at the conference. Each panel will be given 90 minutes, and limited to 3 papers per panel.
   
Languages of Presentation:
 
Chinese (Putonghua) and English
   
Submission Procedures:
 
1.
Please email the completed application form with an abstract of your panel (no more than 250 words) to translationhistory@cuhk.edu.hk on or before 31 July 2017. For panels, please also submit one abstract for each individual paper.
2.
Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Organising Committee and scholars invited by the Committee.
3. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out before 31 August 2017.
   
Cost:
1.
Participants are expected to cover their own transport, food, accommodation and other costs.
2.
There is no registration or conference fee.
3. The charge for the conference dinner on 15 December 2017 is HK$250. For full-time students, it is HK$150.
