Feasibility Study on Legislating against Discrimination on the Grounds of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Intersex Status

Three public forums will be held from June to September, in 3 different districts in Kowloon, Hong Kong Island and New Territories. Admission is free of charge. Pre-registration is compulsory for all public forums. Walk-in will not be entertained.

We will reserve 1/4 quotas for members of LGBTI NGOs, 1/4 quotas for members of concern groups and 1/2 quotas for the public. If the number of pre-registration exceeds the capacity of the venue, balloting will be used to allocate the tickets.

In line with equal opportunities principles, the venues will be fully accessible.  Simultaneous interpretation from Chinese to English and vice versa, sign language and child care (for children over the age of 3) will also be provided.

Retrospect and Prospect: LGBT and Intersex Status @ Hong Kong

The Arrangement of the Public Forums

Each public forum consists of a sharing session by guest speakers and a Q&A session.

To ensure effective and fair allocation of time, the time for each participant to raise questions is limited to 2 minutes.

As this research topic is fairly controversial, please respect different opinion, do not make personal attacks and follow the groundrules of the public forum.
