Introduction
As established in 1994, the Symposium has become a major annual event that brings together chemistry postgraduate students and faculty members from all UGC funded institutes as well as some industrial partners to present the most recent progress in chemistry research. The major objective of the proposed symposium is to discuss the most recent advancement in postgraduate research in chemistry, exchange research ideas and foster collaborations and networking. It will offer PG students an invaluable opportunity to interact with the keynote speaker and local faculty members and students in person. The speaker will be present and actively engaged throughout the entire event.
The scientific program (tentative) is shown below:
A. Opening ceremony
B. A keynote lecture to be given by Prof. Armido Studer from Universität Münster, Germany.
C. Six oral presentations to be given by postgraduate students from City University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the University of Hong Kong.
D. Poster session with around 300 poster presentations to be given by chemistry postgraduate students and researchers from all the institutions in Hong Kong.
E. Closing ceremony and the presentation of the best oral and poster awards for postgraduate students
