Introduction

The 26th Symposium on Chemistry Postgraduate Research in Hong Kong will be held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong on 4 May, 2019 (Saturday). This Symposium will consist of a Keynote Lecture, an Oral Presentation Session, and a Poster Session. The Keynote Lecture will be given by Professor William Jones of Rochester University. The Oral Presentation Session will be consisted of six 20-minute talks, each of which will be delivered by a postgraduate student representative nominated by his/her home university. As established in 1994, the Symposium has become a major annual event that brings together chemistry postgraduate students and faculty members from all UGC funded institutes as well as some industrial partners to present the most recent progress in chemistry research. The major objective of the proposed symposium is to discuss the most recent advancement in postgraduate research in chemistry, exchange research ideas and foster collaborations and networking. It will offer PG students an invaluable opportunity to interact with the keynote speaker and local faculty members and students in person.

Participants are required to register through their institutional representative by 27 March, 2019. Participants who wish to present their work as posters during the Symposium are welcome to submit an abstract of their work in the prescribed format to the Symposium Secretariat via their institutional faculty representatives on or before 29 March, 2019.
