Tools for accommodating and supporting students with special educational needs

Abstract: During the COVID-19 pandemic, lectures and tutorials have been conducted online or in hybrid mode in the University. It could create barriers for individual students with special education needs (SEN). To better support the students as well as teachers who have students with SEN in their classes, this workshop aims to provide hands-on guidance on the tools of accommodations and suggestions to enhance digital accessibility.

Speaker: Ms. Judy Lo (ITSC, Head of Education Technology)

Ms. Judy Lo joined the Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC) of CUHK in 2006. She is now the head of the Academic Support Services (Education Technology) in ITSC. Together with colleagues at the Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research (CLEAR), Judy works with teachers to adopt new technologies and pedagogies to enhance teaching and learning. She also leads the instructional design and media production service team of the Centre for eLearning Innovation and Technology (ELITE).
