Sailing into ChatGPT: Discovery of Its Promises and Pitfalls

Description: The rising of an emerging technology always rouses applause and doubt. ChatGPT, a generative AI tool, brutally disrupts teaching and learning with countless unexplored promises. Nevertheless, before knocking on the doors to enter the world of ChatGPT, legal and ethical concerns discourage teachers and practitioners from marching on. As such, to overcome the fear of the unknown, this introductory seminar invites the CUHK community to sail into the sea of ChatGPT with Dr Christopher SEE and Ms. Judy LO to uncover its promises and pitfalls in higher education.
