Background

Sub-Committee on Education Technologies of the IT Governance Committee (ITGC-SET) endorsed setting up a soft quota of 20GB for all users

When the quota is reached, an email notification will be sent to the user to remind him/her of the usage

Your usage

ZOOM Cloud Recording Storage Usage >20GB

Your action(s)

After successful CUHK Login, review and manage your cloud recording usage at https://cuhk.zoom.us/recording, e.g.:
a. Review your cloud storage usage
b. Delete cloud recordings that are no longer needed
c. Download the files for offline backup

(Optional)
a. Complete the ZOOM Cloud Recording Usage Survey and request ITSC to help:
(i) transfer the files to Panopto if they are needed to support course teaching
(ii) download the cloud recordings, save the files onto a USB HDD, and pass the files on request (if the size of the files which need to be backup is larger than 200GB)
b. Request for additional quota using the ZOOM Cloud Recording Storage Request Form. Endorsement from Faculty/Department/Programme is needed if additional cloud recording storage is requested

Detailed instructions on how to manage your cloud recordings

Cloud recordings should be reviewed regularly

For all examination data collected/generated during online and face-to-face examinations (including cloud recordings), except when the data are required for specific purposes (e.g., investigation of disciplinary cases), the data retention period is one year in general

For student users, cloud recordings will be deleted after 365 days automatically
