ome people say, “University is the best place to explore life and possibilities; one should make full use of the time to
experiment.” Career exploration and planning is certainly one of the items you should put under your U-life agenda.
New academic year marks a new start. Let’s apply the classical 5W1H (What, Why, Who, When, Where, How) technique
to see how you can make good use of the Career Planning and Development Centre’s (CPDC) services to create your own
career landmark in this academic year.

Shanghai, Nanjing, just to name a few.

global perspectives in a cross-cultural
setting.
Students of any year of study and
discipline are welcome to most of the

All full-time CUHK undergraduate
students who are able to apply
appropriate visas to respective
internship cities are eligible.
Career exploration and planning
should start early and well ahead of
your graduation, since opportunities
are around the corner but only given
to those who are well equipped and
ready. Guidance programmes are
available throughout the academic
year.
When you want to find a job
particularly when you are about
to graduate, you should seek
opportunities actively and reach out to
the job market. Recruitment talks are
held on campus during semester time,
while online job posting are regularly
updated at CU Job Link, JIJIS and
CPDC website.
Most internship programmes are
scheduled from May to late August,
while application and selection
process starts in January or February
each year.
