An exchange experience is more than just studying away from the University for a period of time. It is an opportunity to
gain an elevated awareness and broadened understanding of the world. Learning beyond the classroom through studying
in another country can be an eye-opening and enriching journey. It helps you to look at intercultural understandings in new
ways.
At CUHK, more than 240 student exchange programmes at 29 destinations around the world through colleges, faculties,
academic departments and the Office of Academic Links (OAL) are available. You will find the following information useful
when considering to apply for exchange.
Who is eligible?
CUHK full-time students with a minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.7, good disciplinary standing and
satisfactory TOEFL or IELTS score (if required by the individual exchange programme) can apply.
How to apply?
Applications for university-wide exchange programmes and most faculty/academic department
programmes in summer 2013 and academic year 2013-14 are submitted through an online system administered by
OAL, and will open in mid to late October 2012. Below is a timeline of the major activities for the application. Dates and
deadlines will be updated and posted on the OAL website in mid-October 2012.
