It is one of my favorite quotes which also helped me to
achieve what I have today. I am currently working at the
Universidad Iberoamericana Leon
in Mexico as a Mandarin teacher.
There were so many decisions I
made that took me to where I am
now.
My story started when I first
entered CUHK in 2007. At the time,
I was eager to learn one more
foreign language, which I finally
landed in Spanish. In 2010, I came
to Mexico for a one-semester exchange. With the eye-
opening experience when I was in Mexico, I started to love
the culture over here.
After graduation, I started my career life as a ground
staff at the airport. With routine work and long hours, I
barely had work-life balance. After much consideration, I

堂以外的非形式學習，提供多種不同的設施。
中心已於三月初啟用，其中的多用途禮堂由中午十二
時至晚上十時開放，同學們可根據禮堂的康體活動時
間表，於有關時段自備運動器材進行籃球或羽毛球活
動，無需預訂場地。時間表現已張貼於禮堂，並上載
至學生事務處網頁：www.cuhk.edu.hk/osa。
此外，學生中心的健身室亦已開放供持有大學健身室
使用證的同學使用。兩項設施均於星期一至六開放，
歡迎同學使用。同學們請密切留意其他活動室的開放
時間及借用手續！
made a bold decision to return to Mexico and become a
Chinese Teacher. I resigned and flew to Beijing to obtain
a certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
Thereafter, I interned in centre of languages and foreign
cultures in Mexico as a Chinese teacher via the AIESEC
Programme.
Apart from giving mandarin class, I
am glad that I work with colleagues
of different nationalities, e.g. French,
German, Japanese, Mexicans, etc., to
organize cultural activities. With my all
round skills and language capability
developed via the internship, I am
considering staying in Mexico after
finishing this internship. Thanks to
my enhanced Spanish through this
internship, a job in an international trading company or
keep working as Mandarin Teacher are career choices
opened for me.
These are options that I have never thought of before I
come here! Life is full of possibilities only if we are willing
to be bold and take the risks!
