Our team member Prof. Ng and Dr. Ren were invited to deliver lectures at CUHK-HKU-NUSIT Urban Climate Research Forum in Nanjing, China. The forum brings together leading scholars, researchers and practioners to exchange knowledge and explore innovative approaches to addressing urban climate challenges in rapidly developing cities.

Media Coverage: Climate Change and Elderly Health

Our team member Dr. Patsy Chau was interviewed by local media and pointed hat fluctuations in weather temperatures can affect the health of the elderly. When older adults become accustomed to milder winter temperatures, a sudden drop in temperature can prevent their bodies from responding in time, making them more susceptible to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.

Invited Presentation at the 17th International Symposium on Healthy Aging

Dr Patsy Chau delivered a presentation about impact of climate change on the health of older adults at the 17th International Symposium on Healthy Aging on 9-10 September 2023. It would raise the awareness of the adverse impact from extreme weather among the medical community who have an interest in older adults.
