By Cash & Cheque

For tuition and hostel fee payment at bank

Payment may be made by cash or cheque at any Hang Seng Bank on or before due date.

Cheque is to be made payable to "The Chinese University of Hong Kong" and crossed. Post-dated cheque will not be accepted.

Student's name and ID number are to be written on the back of the cheque.

A receipt will be issued by the bank to the depositor. No receipt will be issued by the Bursary of CUHK.

For other income / fee payment

By Direct Remittance to Bank
Overseas and local Telegraphic Transfer remittance should be effected either in HK Dollar or US Dollar and credited to an account designated by Investment Management Unit beforehand.
Department should provide preliminary information to Investment Management Unit in writing on remitter, nature and amount of the remittance for identification and reconciliation purpose.
Investment Management Unit will provide details of the bank account such as bank code and bank account number to Department to facilitate the collection.

By Electronic Payment Services (EPS)
For application fee, transcript fee and specific types of fee only
Operative on swipe card and key-in Personal Identification Number (PIN) to authorize the immediate debit to bank account.
The transaction amount simultaneously credited into the University's designated bank account.
A special terminal is required for EPS payment. Written application should be forwarded to Investment Management Unit stating the location of the terminal to be installed and purpose of the collection for arranging installation by bank.
Collection by EPS is subject to commission charged. For details of the commission rate, please contact Investment Management Unit at ext. 37186 or 38536.

By Credit Card
Visa card and Master card are acceptable. Payment by credit card can be effected via
- Mail order
- Terminal
- Online payment system
- Recurrent payment system
Payment by Credit card is confined to specific types of income.
University has signed agreements with Bank of East Asia Ltd. (BEA) and Hang Seng Bank Ltd. (HSB) to provide credit card collection service.
Written application has to be forwarded to Investment Management Unit stating the purpose of the collection for arrangement with bank.
Collection by credit card is subject to commission charge. Department accepting credit card payment should read the following notes on collection service provided by the bank:
- Bank of East Asia Ltd.
- Hang Seng Bank Ltd.

By Payment by Phone Service (PPS)
For tuition / hostel fee, transcript certifying letter & curriculum details fee only.
Registered PPS user may call 18031 (English) or 18033 (Cantonese) or visit PPS website www.ppshk.com to arrange for payment on or before due date.
CUHK (PPS) merchant code is ' 9110 '.
Payment successfully made will be confirmed by a payment reference number for record. No receipt will be issued by the Bursary of CUHK.

By Automatic Teller Machine (ATM)
For tuition and hostel fee only
ATM cardholder of HSBC, Hang Seng Bank or JETCO may pay at the respective bank's ATMs which display the signage of "BILL PAYMENT SERVICE" or "JET PAYMENT" and the payment must be made on or before due date.
Screen of "The Chinese University of HK" is to be selected for payment. The bill type for payment of tuition fee/ hostel fee is '01'.
Payment successfully made will be confirmed by the issuance of a receipt marked acceptance by the ATM. No other receipt will be issued by the Bursary of CUHK or by the bank.

For tuition and hostel fee only.
Internet banking user of HSBC, Hang Seng Bank or JETCO member banks may visit the respective bank's website: HSBC website www.hsbc.com.hk, Hang Seng Bank website www.hangseng.com/e-Banking or JETCO website www.jetpayment.com.hk and pay via the bill payment service as stated at the bank's website on or before payment due date.
Screen of "The Chinese University of HK" is to be selected for payment. The bill type for payment of tuition fee/ hostel fee is ' 01 '.
Payment successfully made will be confirmed by a payment transaction reference number for record. No receipt will be issued by the Bursary of CUHK or by the bank.

For enquiry & payment of tuition and hostel fee debit notes.
For payment of fine in respect of arrears in payment.
All current students can pay or enquire their tuition/hostel fee debit notes through Internet by visiting the following website: https://epayment.bur.cuhk.edu.hk
To login, it is required to enter the Campus Wide E-mail System (CWEM) Account Password and students must be registered PPS users before they can pay their fees through this website on or before the payment due date.
Payment successfully made will be confirmed by a payment transaction reference number for record. No receipt will be issued by the Bursary of CUHK.
