eLearning Liaison Persons (eLLPs)

To promote how technology might enhance students’ learning experiences (for shorthand, eLearning), and to explore how the needs of particular departments and programmes might be best met, we have requested each programme to assign a representative as the eLearning Liaison Person (eLLP).

An eLLP acts as the bridge between departmental colleagues and the people who provide central eLearning support services. They can channel eLearning needs or requests from the programme or individual teachers to us, and also channel information about our services and events back to their fellow teachers. Below are some of the possible things eLLPs may wish to consider doing:

  • use eLearning strategies in your own teaching so that your experiences can later on be shared with colleagues
  • explain to fellow teachers what services are available to them and how to get them through us in case of enquiry
  • explain to fellow teachers various ways to use technology to assist teaching and learning in your discipline in internal meetings or invite us to hold special seminars tailor-made for the needs of your programme
  • tell us what technologies are most relevant to the teaching and learning needs of your programme; talk to us as some of the solutions may already exist
  • collaborate with the eLearning Service for new developments that may assist teaching in your specific context

Please contact Eric Ho (eric.ho@cuhk.edu.hk) of CLEAR if you would like to find out who is the eLLP in your department, or would like to be an eLLP.
