Directions to CUHK Campus
There are several ways to reach the CUHK campus from the Hong Kong International Airport.

By Taxi:
The journey is about 45 minutes.  The fare is approximately $340. You should travel on a New Territories taxi (a green taxi). 

By Airport Bus and Taxi/MTR (NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU HAVE BULK LUGGAGE):
Take airport bus route number A41 from the airport to Shatin Station, which operates daily from 6:00 a.m. to midnight at 20-minute intervals.  The Shatin Central Bus Terminal is not the terminal stop for the bus.  You may wish to ask the driver where to get off or pay attention to the broadcast.  The bus ride is about 65 – 70 minutes.  The fare is HK$22.3. Connected by:

 

    •     1. Taxi

    From Shatin Station, you can take a taxi to the CUHK campus. The fare is about HK$50. The ride is about     15 minutes.

    •     2. MTR Train (NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU HAVE BULK LUGGAGE)

    Alternatively, you can take the train to the University Station from Shatin Station (second stop from Shatin).     The trains run every 5 to 10 minutes from 6:00 a.m. daily. The fare is HK$4.5.

 

Upon arrival at the University Station, you should take the campus shuttle to reach the assigned student hostel.  Information on the campus shuttle can be referred to this webpage: http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/transport_office/.


You will stay at various hostels arranged for the orientation from Monday 27 August to Friday 31 August (check-out on Saturday 1 September).  Detailed information of your assigned hostel for the orientation will be announced in mid-August.
