The Teachers' Association of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUTA) is a union registered under the Hong Kong Labour Department, dedicated to advocating for teachers at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Founded in 1974 by former Vice-Chancellor Professor Ambrose King, CUTA was the first and remains the only labour union exclusively representing teachers at the University. Acting as a unified voice, we ensure our members' concerns and interests are heard and addressed by university leadership. Through ongoing advocacy and representation, CUTA works to foster a more equitable and supportive working environment, benefiting both our members and the wider university community.
