New efforts to promote CUHK on a global scale


In an effort to strengthen international visibility and attract international students, CUHK has been engaging in a promotion campaign on two international higher education platforms, THE and QS, since 2016. A student-oriented theme has been adopted since the launch of the campaign. Recently, the scope of the campaign has been expanded in order to showcase CUHK’s research excellence, particularly in the four research priorities as set out in its Strategic Plan 2016–20, namely China Studies, Translational Biomedicine, Information and Automation Technology and Environment and Sustainability. Presented on the platforms’ online and print channels, the promotional pieces engage its audience with simple yet intriguing visuals and messages that would evoke their interest on what the University has to offer.


In addition, information and key statistics about CUHK can be found on the dedicated university profile pages of both THE and QS. The CUHK Research Hub on the THE website provides updates on some of the most innovative research breakthroughs of the University.


Finally, a new newsletter targeting the international audience will soon be launched by the Office of Academic Links to highlight the latest and the most prominent achievements of CUHK in the areas of research, teaching & learning, student activities and more. Faculty members are welcome to approach the Office of Academic Links to discuss how to feature your key works to a global audience.
