關於我們 Launched as China Career Development Award Programme in 1997,
the Global Internship Programme has been entering its 19th year in
the summer of 2016. This flagship student engagement activity launched
by the Office of Student Affairs aims to complement the academic faculties’
formal curricula and provide students with opportunities to learn beyond classroom.
The Programme nurtures the personal and social growth of students through hands-on experiences in
various work environments across various provinces on the Mainland. Student interns were widely exposed
to different local cultures and industries where work-life knowledge and civic conscience were established.
In line with the internationalization of the University, the Programme was expanded to overseas developed
countries in the 2006, such as Australia, Canada, Ireland and the United States. Diverse placement
opportunities were further explored in other Asian and international countries in subsequent years, such as
Brazil, Finland, India, Japan, Romania, Russia, Egypt, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam etc.
Through the internships, which usually last for 4 to 14 weeks (half a year in some special cases), students not
only enhance their languages, interpersonal skills and workplace exposure, but also widen their horizons in
a global sense. All these are conducive to their personal growth and career development. More than 5,400
students have benefited from the Programme throughout the years.
In the summer of 2016, a total of 554 student interns were placed in 48 countries under the arrangement of
the Programme. While soliciting more internship opportunities in the Asian countries, the Office of Student
Affairs would continue to provide more offshore internships to our students to enhance their non-formal
education experience every year in the future.
香港中文大學一直致力為學生提供課堂以外的學習機會。早於1997年，學生事務處率先推出前
名為「中國就業發展獎勵計劃」的「寰宇暑期實習計劃」，為學生提供到內地不同城市實習的機
會，以增加同學對中國社會文化及不同業務範疇的了解。2006年，為配合大學國際化，「寰宇暑
期實習計劃」亦向海外國家邁進，包括澳洲、加拿大、愛爾蘭及美國。時至今日，計劃已拓展至
不同亞洲及國際城市，包括巴西、芬蘭、印度、日本、羅馬尼亞、俄羅斯、埃及、新加坡、西班
牙、斯里蘭卡、泰國、越南等地。
透過為期四至十四星期（最長為半年）的實習，同學不但能加強他們的語文能力、人際關係技巧
及增加工作經驗，更能擴闊其國際視野，認識不同文化，對個人成長及未來的就業發展實有裨
益。自1997年，本計劃已讓五千多名同學受惠。2016年度，共有554名同學透過本計劃的安排，
於48個國家獲得暑期實習的機會。除了繼續拓展亞洲國家的實習機會，學生事務處亦積極擴大和
深化計劃的規模，爭取更多離岸的實習機會予同學，從而加強他們於非形式教育方面的體驗。
