About the Project

Project's Objective

The project aims to develop a Faculty-wide multimedia pedagogy and assessment framework to enhance reflective engagement of course material for virtual teaching and learning.

Focus Area

To explore new strategies, pedagogies, platforms and facilities in pursuit of longer-term visions on VTL.

Development (1): Technology-enhanced pedagogical for video-based VTL

A blended-learning pedagogical sequence with lesson templates will be developed in parallel with the “RICAP” framework, a technological pedagogical video-engagement framework comprising of:

The RICAP framework draws on video-based technology that includes annotation, and constructive/collaborative knowledge building of the annotated moments.

Development (2): Assessment rubrics for video-based VTL

A set of assessment guides and rubrics for various types of video-based VTL activities will be developed to better address the learning outcomes, professional skills, and reflective thinking of students in the Faculty of Education.
