What our students say...

i

More than Just Physical Training

The programme trains students as generalists in sports and physical education or as specialists in the areas of exercise physiology, sports biomechanics, sports psychology, sports sociology, physical education pedagogy, health and fitness, and testing and measurement.

ii

Learning Beyond the Classroom

After taking courses on pedagogy and curriculum planning, students will be placed in a variety of schools for teaching practice. They can observe how the schools operate and become acquainted with the organization, planning, administration, routine and discipline of the schools. In addition to teaching practice, students have the opportunities to engage in experiential learning activities such as internships, overseas student exchange and research projects.

iii

Professional Qualifications

Fulfilment of the programme requirements leads to the award of a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree, which is recognized as equivalent to a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), and entitles graduates to enter the teaching profession immediately after graduation.

For Category C: Other Language subjects, Grade A = 5 / Grade B = 4 / Grade C = 3 / Grade D = 2 / Grade E = 1).
