The 4th International Young Scholars' Symposium on Christianity and Chinese Society and Culture

Centre for the Study of Religion and Chinese Society, Chung Chi College and Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural History at the University of San Francisco co-organized this Symposium at Lecture Theatre 4, Esther Lee Building from December 5 to 9, 2008.

Thirty promising young scholars from mainland China, Taiwan, Canada, US, South Korea and Hong Kong have been invited to attend and present their research on Christian Studies at the Symposium. Apart from the young scholars, three renowned scholars, Professor Ronnie Po-chia Hsia of Department of History at Pennsylvania State University, Professor Tao Feiya from Department of History of Shanghai University and Professor Philip Wickeri of San Francisco Theological Seminary and the Graduate Theological Union, have acted as academic advisors and delivered public lectures during the Symposium.
