Director’s Message
Dear HKIAPS Members and Friends,

Welcome to the fourteenth issue of the HKIAPS e-Bulletin. As we enter a new season, we present this e-Bulletin to keep you connected with our efforts in various fields of Social Science research.

Collaboration lies at the heart of our achievements. Over the past year, the HKIAPS has strengthened ties with local and international partners, hosting conferences, public lectures, and workshops that bring together scholars, policymakers, and community leaders. These exchanges enrich our understanding of regional complexities and underscore the importance of global dialogue in an increasingly interconnected world. These events are held in a hybrid mode to sustain our research impact both locally and internationally. At the same time, our Institute has maintained its standard research publications, including survey press releases, journal articles, reports, and newspaper commentaries.

In this issue, we highlight the “Symposium on Chinese Modernization and Youth Development”, which was held on 20 February at the CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute. This is the first seminar in five years to be co-organized with the National Academy of Chinese Modernization, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, making a new beginning in research collaboration.

Entering the 35th anniversary of the HKIAPS, diverse public events and publications projects will be launched in the coming months. We shall continue to disseminate our research and reach the public in more accessible ways.
