This is a one-year part-time programme. All classes are held out of office hours. Practical sessions are hands-on, with real life cases and in small class. Assessment is made mostly by assignments and by examinations.
Students who have already obtained the MSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent in Hong Kong or other universities will be exempted a number of courses.

*Courses can be exempted if you already possess an MSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.
Courses are normally assessed by coursework, presentations, tests and written examinations.
For graduation, students are required to fulfil the following requirements:
Attend at least 80% lectures and other learning activities of each course;
Pass in the courses; and
Obtain a cumulative overall GPA of not lower than 2.0.
According to the CPD credit award guideline, registered medical laboratory technologists who participate as a student in this programme will earn a maximum of 12 credit points. In order to earn all the 12 credit points, students must finish the whole programme and fulfill relevant attendance requirement of this programme.
