As an international student from Colombia, I have a very different
background from other students in CUHK. Before I came here, I
thought that adapting to this completely new environment was going
to be much harder than what it actually was.
Every single person that I have met in the past few weeks were very
friendly to me, from students to all staff members - thanks all for
helping my adaptation to this new place much easier. The orientation
camps offered by the University and the College were especially
helpful in familiarizing the campus environment. Through these
orientations, I met many students, while some of which have become
close friends. I hope they will not only stay with me during my study,
but also for life.

I am a transfer student from Brunei, just joined the MBChB programme in CUHK.
Despite being my first time abroad, I am having pleasant experience in both living
and studying in Hong Kong as the locals are friendly and considerate.
In addition to what has been said, within the span of two months, it is very clear to
me that the Faculty members of CUHK truly look after their students
´
well-being –
both emotionally and academically. Most notably, they have been very supportive
in my mission to learn Cantonese, besides the challenging medical courses.
I am honored to be taught by the eminent professors and doctors here, and hope
to learn as much as I can from them.
