From CLC students

“The Centre will continue to play an important role in the promotion of better understanding between the people of the East and the West.”

Spoke Sir Jack Cater, KBE, JP,

Ex-acting governor and the Chief Secretary of Hong Kong

during the opening ceremony of the CLC current premises in 1980

“CLC was recommended to me by my PhD supervisor who himself is a CLC graduate. He said, “you’ll have to study hard but don’t worry - the staff are amazing”. True words! I especially like the fact that I now have friendships with fellow students (Korean, American and Japanese) and that our sole language of communication is Mandarin. “

Jacqueline Elfick, from Holland, class of 2003-04

권정혜,  from Korea, class of 2004-05

中野理子, from Japan, class of 2004-05
