Study Trip to Malaysia 2015

News and Events

15 IBCE Final Year students from CUHK and USC (University of South Carolina) went to Penang and Kala Lumpur, Malaysia for their 6-day study trip from September 26 to October 1, 2015. Malaysia, a country with rich cultural diversity and heritage, is an ideal place for IBCE students to learn in a fun-filled way. Participants had an opportunity to broaden their scope of thinking beyond geographic boundaries and be aware of business environments all over the globe. The fruitful trip combines workshops with full day company visits, cultural activities and social interaction with prominent business leaders and influential individuals in the region. It was intriguing to learn about how Malaysia is growing aggressively in the past few years and can be used as a model by other developing countries.

From visiting multinationals such as The Boston Consulting Group and Google, students realized the importance of being geocentric and adapting to the ever-changing market through comprehensive analysis and game-changing innovation. On the other hand, through interactions with business leaders such as Tan Sri, Dato, and entrepreneurs, participants were contaminated by their passion, inspired by their beliefs, and motivated by their approaches to overcome adversity.
