1. Bachelor of Arts (Theology Major)

Degree Programmes of CUHK

An applicant must have passed The Chinese University of Hong Kong matriculation or have obtained exemption from it. It will take at least 3 years to complete this full-time programme. The programme of study includes basic theological studies, general education, languages, he/she can also opt for minor subjects.

Programme of Study:

Students admitted in 2005-06 and thereafter are required to complete a minimum of 66 units of courses as follows:

(1) Required courses:
In the first and second year of attendance: PHI1110, CRS1122, THE1211, 1212, 2235 & 2236	18 Units
In the remaining years of attendance: (i) THE3221 and 1 course from Area 2 (ii) THE2241 and 1 course from Area 4 (iii) at least 2 courses each from Area 1 and Area 3 (coded 2000 or above) (iv) at least 1 course from Area 5	27 Units
(2) Elective courses:
All THE courses other than those listed in (a) above, and all CRS courses except those listed in the Area of Cultural Studies are elective courses.	21 Units
	------------ 66 Units
Final year students are allowed to take post-graduate courses, but endorsement must be obtained from the Director of Divinity School of Chung Chi College and the Chairman of Department of Cultural and Religious Studies. Note: Only Major courses coded 2000 and above will be included in the calculation of the Major GPA for honours classification.
