13 December On the Alumni Homecoming Day 2009, a banner introducing the latest development of the CMP and the summary of the Synoptic Report was exhibited on the Central Mall.
29 October A Campus Development Sharing Session, chaired by Professor Fung Tung, was held to give an update on the progress of various “3+3+4” related capital work projects and other developments on campus.
23 October Professor Essy Baniassad gave a presentation on "THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, a synthesis of tradition and modernity" in the Teaching and Learning Innovation Expo 2009 organized by the Centre for Learning Enhancement and Research, CUHK.
19 October Member of the Steering Committee on CMP, Professor Fung Tung, was featured in the 'TEN QUESTIONS FOR' of CUHK Newsletter Issue 345.
29 September University of Macau invited the Steering Committee on Campus Master Planning Co-Chair, Professor Essy Baniassad to visit their University to share experience on campus planning.
25 September Representatives of the University of Macau visited CUHK and met with relevant units to learn about the campus operation and development of CUHK. Professor P.C. Ching & Professor Essy Baniassad, and the Campus Development Office representatives introduced CMP, covering topics on architectural style, college design, and aesthetic & learning aspects of the campus environment.
25 July Powerpoints of "Synoptic Report Recommendations Summary " & "CMP Introduction" were sent to alumni association in Sydney , Australia, by CUHK Alumni Affairs Office for distribution at their Annual General Meeting (AGM).
26 May Campus Master Planning Informal Gathering
24 - 26 May Professor P.C. Ching delivered a keynote speech at the Second Annual University Planning & Design Forum in Brisbane, Australia, and shared CUHK's experience on campus master planning with University presidents and administrators
23 - 30 May Professor P.C. Ching met with alumni in Brisbane & Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand, to give an update on CMP and New College development.
15 May Release of NCPO E-News Issue No. 1 about the development progress of new Colleges.
14 May CMP Sustainable Campus in Action: the CUHK Committee on Campus Environment launched the 'Environmental Sustainability Ambassador Program' as an initiative to develop the campus with cleaner air.
May Campus Development Office uploaded updated information on development projects up to 2012 on website.
29 April - 2 May At Professor P.C. Ching's meeting with alumni in New York, USA and Toronto, Canada, he gave an update on the University development and CMP. (Report on the visit to Toronto in Chinese)
28 April Professor P.C. Ching and Professor Fung Tung introduced the CMP Synoptic Report to the CUHK Convocation.
21 April An email notice was sent by the CUHK Convocation informing alumni the endorsement of the CMP Synoptic Report by the Council, and to invite alumni to note the CMP Progress.
15 April Professor Fung Tung met with student representatives to give an update on CMP and introduce the recommendations in the CMP Synoptic Report.
14 April Consultant's Campus Master Plan Synoptic Report submitted to the University and received by the University Council.
3 April Consultant's Stage 3 Stakeholders' Engagement Report released.

20-22 January Three CMP Seminars were held.  Mr. Edward Cullinan, CMP Consultant and his team members presented the master planning vision and the Specific Proposal, including the 6 precepts: Places for Academic & Recreational Activities, Enhancing College Life, Making a Sustainable Campus, A Pedestrian-friendly Campus, A Landscape of Vital Importance and Conserving the Places of Value.  The consultants addressed views and concerns at discussion sessions.
9 January Schedule of Stage 3 Engagement Seminars, Exhibition and Guided Tour announced.
