University’s efforts to promote Belt and Road Initiatives

The Belt and Road (B&R) initiative has presented numerous opportunities for the University to further its internationalisation; as a result, CUHK has attached great importance to developing links with the B&R regions on different fronts, such as student recruitment, mobility opportunities, and academic and research collaborations.

The latest initiative in the University's effort in expanding connections in the B&R regions was a reception hosted for the local Consuls-General of the concerned regions on 6 October 2016 to forge closer academic collaborations.

In addition, to facilitate the flow of information among various constituencies, a webpage that consolidates activities and programmes provided and coordinated by CUHK units has been launched under the Office of Academic Links’ website (‘Belt & Road@CUHK’). Faculty members and students can visit the page to learn about opportunities available to support learning and collaboration with institutions in the B&R regions. Please feel free to contact Ms. Yvonne Heung if new or updated information on the B&R initiatives are available for uploading to the webpage.
