Cultural Awareness and
Mutual Respect Poster Design Competition
The Competition aimed to enhance cross-cultural
understanding on campus. The champion, Miss Zhang
Xiaoli, explains her award-winning piece, “Here in
Hong Kong, we are facing people from various cultural
backgrounds, so I think it’s important to describe briefly
what cultural awareness is on the poster, and tips on how
we should do to deal with it.”
Diversity Spiced Up Campus:
Cultural Months 2013
T
he CUHK campus from this January to March was not only coloured up by blossoms of azaleas, but also showed the
vibrancy of a variety of cultural activities, or the Cultural Months organized by the Incoming Students Section (ISS),
Office of Student Affairs (OSA). With the assistance of 15 Cultural Ambassadors, the ISS also joined hands with some
non-local student associations to make the Cultural Months a ripe time for promoting cultural diversity and creating a
