The following programmes are open for applications:

 

Faculty and PhD Students Mobility Schemes 2016-17

 

The Internationalisation Faculty Mobility Schemes and PhD Student Mobility Schemes for 2016–17 are inviting applications. Applications should reach the Office of Academic Links by 8 April 2016.

 

A.  Internationalisation Faculty Mobility Schemes (for faculty members)

The schemes aim to promote the international exposure of faculty members and the development of strategic and research partnerships with overseas universities. Faculty members are encouraged to apply to these schemes to undertake/host research visits during 1 August 2016 - 31 July 2017. The respective programme guidelines and application forms are available for download from the following links:

2. Outbound Research Mobility Scheme (for CUHK faculty members)

3. Inbound Research Mobility Scheme (for visiting faculty members)

4. Short-term Faculty Exchange Programme (for CUHK faculty members)

 

B. PhD Student Mobility Schemes (for PhD students)

The programmes aim to enhance research excellence at CUHK through building and strengthening the University’s ties with selected partner institutions and to increase the visibility of CUHK as a world-class research university through student mobility. Selected CUHK PhD students will receive a sponsorship of HK$15,000-HK$50,000 while visiting PhD students will receive free on-campus accommodation. PhD students are encouraged to apply to these schemes to undertake short-term research attachments during 1 September 2016 - 31 August 2017. Eurasia-Pacific Uninet Scholarship Programmes 2016-17

 

The Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU) is inviting applications from PhD students and Post-Docs of CUHK to a research scholarship programme. The programme provides support to PhD students and Post-Docs undertaking short-term research attachments at one of the EPU member institutions in Austria.

 

Terms of Award

  • Duration of visit: 1-9 months
  • Value of award:
  • €940 per month for PhD students
  • €1,040 per month for Post-Docs
  • The award is meant to cover insurance, housing, visa, daily-life and travel expenditures. Recipients will receive an additional maximum travel subsidy of €730.
  • Recipients are exempted from paying tuition fees.
  • The Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research will provide support on accident and health insurance as well as accommodation.

ACU Early Career Academic Grants 2016

 

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Early Career Academic Grants are now inviting applications. The grants are awarded to early career academics who have not previously had the opportunity to travel outside their home region to take part in an academic conference held in a Commonwealth country other than their own.

 

In 2016, a total of 30 grants are on offer, with a maximum amount of GBP 2,000 each. Grants can be used to cover travel and visa costs, conference fees, accommodation, and subsistence.

 

Application is now open till 15 April 2016.
