CUHK-University of Manchester Research Fund gives out inaugural awards
The CUHK and University of Manchester (UoM) Research Fund was launched last November to build and strengthen research collaboration between the two universities. The scheme awards funding on a competitive basis in six priority areas, including Cancer, Neuroscience, Energy and Climate Change, Future Cities, Advanced Materials, and Poverty Relief.
Twelve proposals were received for the scheme 2015-16. Upon selection by a joint committee formed by senior members of both universities, three proposals were approved and awarded at a cap of £10,000 each. Details of the awarded projects are listed below:
