Building foundation for medical collaboration with Oita University

Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor, visited Oita University in Japan on 18 January 2016 to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote collaboration in medicine and facilitate the development of training and educational programmes in minimally invasive endo-laparoscopic surgery through staff and student exchange, and joint research. During the visit, Prof. Sung met with Prof. Seigo Kitano, President, and other senior colleagues of Oita University. Accompanying Prof. Sung were Prof. Francis Chan, Dean of Medicine; Prof. Philip Chiu, Director of the CUHK Chow Yuk Ho Technology Center for Innovative Medicine; and Prof. Arthur Mak, Head of the Division of Biomedical Engineering.
