Young Researchers' Conference
On Chinese Translation Studies
(Biennial)

With the aim to encourage young scholars to actively participate in Chinese translation studies and strengthen academic exchange, the Research Centre for Translation (RCT) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong has organized the biennial Young Researchers' Conference on Chinese Translation Studies since 2004.

The Sixth Young Researchers' Conference will be held on 18–19 December 2014. For details, please see below.

Theme : "Writing Chinese Translation History", case studies or source analyses of Chinese translation history of different periods are welcome
Languages : Chinese (Putonghua) and English
Eligibility : Assistant Professors, lecturers, and candidates for a Master or Doctorial degree in Chinese translation studies
Application Procedures

: Applications with an abstract of no more than 500 words should be submitted on or before 31 January 2014 for the first round of screening. Successful candidates will be notified no later than 15 February 2014 and are required to submit the full text of papers before 31 July 2014 for a second review. Candidates who pass both rounds of review will be invited to present his/her paper at the conference.

Fees and
subsidies
: No conference fee will be charged. RCT will provide free accommodation and meals for the conference period, and subsidize to a maximum of HK$2,500 on transportation from home country to Hong Kong.
