Intellectual exchange through International Study Programmes of Center for Housing Innovations
To promote comparative research between Hong Kong and other regions in urban planning, design and housing in response to active aging, hyper-density urbanism and gender issues, the Center for Housing Innovations at CUHK organised the International Study Programmes (ISPs) in collaboration with a number of overseas institutions in April and May 2016.
ISPs provided a platform for students with multi-backgrounds to build up their holistic views in urbanism through a series of seminars, lectures, field studies and studios. Some 20 scholars and students from Graz University of Technology, Austria; National University of Singapore; Singapore; Osaka University, Japan; and Shu Te University, Taiwan were brought to CUHK for intellectual exchange; while 15 CUHK students were sent to Singapore and Japan to learn the contemporary issues in urban housing of other countries.
