The following programmes are open for applications:

 

CUHK Outgoing Exchange Programmes 2016-17 (Summer 2015-16 / Regular Term-Time 2016-17)

 

Recruitment exercise for student exchange programmes 2016-17 will take place during 19-30 October 2015. To promote the exchange opportunities to the new entrants, OAL introduced the programmes at the Academic Counselling Sessions of various Departments on 14 August 2015. A series of on-campus outreach activities, including the International Exchange Week, information sessions, an 8-day consultation session, and sharing at the College Assemblies and General Education classes will be arranged in October. Students will be able to choose from over 300 programmes at 37 exchange destinations.

 

The application details and information on outgoing exchange will be available on the OAL website from October.

Short-term Faculty Exchange Prorgamme 2015-16

 

The programme is part of CUHK’s ongoing drive to expand its network with international partners for joint research collaborations. It also fosters stronger ties between faculty members of CUHK and its partner institutions for academic and research exchange.

 

The key features of the programme are highlighted as follows:

 

• The programme supports faculty members of CUHK to undertake an exploratory visit of one week to five selected partners, including Brown University, US; University of Bristol and University of Leeds, UK; University of Sydney, Australia; and Utrecht University, the Netherlands.

 

• CUHK will be responsible for an economy class return air ticket while the host institutions will provide accommodation for up to one week.

 

• Up to six awards will be made in this round to support visits to the above institutions. For the University of Sydney, up to two awards will be made to CUHK faculty members and the rest of the host institutions will receive one CUHK faculty member under the programme. The visit should be carried out and completed by 31 July 2016.

PhD Student Exchange Prorgamme 2015-16

 

The programme is designed to enhance research excellence at CUHK through building and strengthening the University’s ties with selected partner institutions and to increase the visibility of CUHK as a world-class research university through student mobility.

 

The key features of the programme are highlighted as follows:

 

• The programme provides basic funding support to CUHK PhD students to undertake short-term research visits for a minimum of one month and a maximum of six months in four partner institutions, including Brown University, USA; Karolinska Institutet, Sweden; University of Leeds, UK; and Utrecht University, the Netherlands.

 

• The value of the award will range from HK$15,000 to HK$50,000. The award is meant to cover part of the travel cost and living expense at the host institution.

 

• Up to five awards will be made in this round to support research exchange at the above institutions. Brown University will receive up to two PhD CUHK students; while the rest of the host institutions will each receive one PhD student from CUHK. The visit should be carried out and completed by 31 August 2016, and prior to the submission of final thesis.

Nanzan University Center for Japanese Studies Visiting Faculty Program

 

The Center for Japanese Studies (CJS) at Nanzan University is calling applications for its Visiting Faculty Program for the spring semester (January-May) of 2017. The Program invites faculty members in the field of Japanese Studies from its partner universities to teach and conduct research at CJS, Nanzan University. The courses will be taught in English. In return, the visiting faculty members will be provided with remuneration for the courses taught and a stipend for travelling and living expenses. The application closing date is 31 December 2015.

Tecnológico de Monterrey - Foreign Visiting Professor Programme

 

Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico is inviting applications for its Foreign Visiting Professor Programme for the next academic year (beginning in January 2016) for the following disciplines:

 

• Business Management & Human Capital

• Civil Engineering

• Chemistry and Nanomaterials

• Design & Architecture

• Economics

• Finance

• Industrial Engineering

• International Logistics

• Mechanical / Materials / Manufacturing / Automotive Engineering

• Mechatronics Engineering

 

Successful applicants will teach in the Institution for one year as a visiting professor and receive the benefits including:

 

• Savings fund

• Medical insurance

• 25 days paid holidays

• One roundtrip air ticket per year to the applicant’s place of origin

• Housing support

• Support for working visa procedures

• Grocery coupons

 

The salary will be between USD3,000 – USD3,500 per month depending on the applicant’s background.
