CUHK and the University of Liverpool expands student exchange partnership

CUHK welcomed Prof. Janet Beer, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liverpool (Liverpool) on 4 August 2015 to deliver a keynote on Promoting Women Leadership in Higher Education. On this occasion, Prof. Beer and Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that expands the current student exchange programme CUHK has with Liverpool. The existing MOU was entered into by the Faculties of Engineering at CUHK and Liverpool in 2010 and has since facilitated the exchange of over 50 students. In view of the successful partnership and strong interest from the students, the two universities will expand the exchange programme to include students from all disciplines.

Mr. James Hill, who was undertaking an attachment in the Summer Undergraduate Research Programme under the supervision of Prof. Arthur Mak, Department of Electronic Engineering and Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, joined Prof. Sung in welcoming Prof. Beer to CUHK.
